Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-21

  1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to hardware rental services provided by Nordhash Oy to Customers who are consumers under Finnish law and to business customers as specified in the Agreement. It supplements the Terms of Service and is governed by Finnish and EU consumer law where applicable.

  2. Statutory Consumer Rights

Customers who are consumers have statutory rights under Finnish and EU law. This policy describes refund and cancellation practices in addition to statutory rights; statutory consumer rights prevail where mandatory law applies.

  3. Cancellation Before Activation

If a Customer cancels a rental before the Company has activated the rental (i.e., before hardware allocation and configuration), the Company will normally provide a full refund of amounts paid, subject to payment processor rules and any non-recoverable transaction costs, unless different terms apply by written agreement.

  4. Cancellation After Activation

Once the rental has been activated (hardware allocated and configured), cancellations and refunds are subject to the Terms and to applicable consumer law. For consumers, the statutory right of withdrawal may be limited in respect of services that have been fully performed with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that they lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

  5. Right of Withdrawal

Under EU distance selling rules, consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal in certain circumstances. However, the right of withdrawal does not apply where the service has been fully performed with the consumer's prior consent and acknowledgment. Because rental activation requires configuration by the Customer and allocation by the Company, withdrawal rights depend on the stage at which the service has been performed and on the Customer's express consent to immediate performance.

  6. Customer Consent and Activation

The Company will seek the Customer’s explicit confirmation if activation will commence immediately and if this affects the statutory withdrawal period. Where a Customer expressly requests immediate activation and acknowledges the consequences, the statutory right of withdrawal may not apply after activation.

  7. Hardware Failure and Service Interruptions

In case of hardware failure, the Company will use reasonable efforts to repair or replace the hardware. If repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time, the Customer may be entitled to a prorated refund for the unused rental period, or another remedy as required by applicable law.

  8. Temporary Interruptions and Extended Downtime

Temporary interruptions due to maintenance, network outages, or third-party failures do not automatically entitle Customers to a refund. Extended downtime beyond reasonable service levels may give rise to partial refunds or service credits in accordance with the Terms and applicable law.

  9. Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure (events beyond reasonable control), refunds are handled in accordance with the Terms and applicable law. Where performance is impossible due to force majeure, Customers will be notified and refunds processed where legally required.

  10. Mining Pool Outages, Bitcoin Network Issues, and Profitability

No refunds are available for loss of mining rewards, reduced profitability, or pool outages that do not result from the Company’s failure to provide hosting services. Mining profitability is inherently uncertain and refunds will not be provided for expected or actual reduced mining income, except where otherwise required by law.

  11. Customer Configuration Errors

If a Customer provides incorrect pool or wallet configuration and this results in a failure to receive mining rewards, refunds do not apply. The Company will assist with configuration where reasonably possible but is not liable for Customer-supplied incorrect information.

  12. Partial and Full Refunds

Partial refunds (pro rata for unused rental time) may be offered when the Company cannot provide the contracted Service due to its own failure or inability to supply a replacement. Full refunds are provided where required by consumer protection law (for example where the Company cancels the service prior to activation without lawful reason).

  13. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact nordhashoy@gmail.com with your order details and a description of the issue. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable law.

  14. No Refunds for Mining Performance

Refunds will not be issued on the basis of estimated or actual mining profits or losses. Customers accept the economic risks of mining activity when renting hardware.

  15. Compliance with Finnish and EU Law

This Refund Policy is implemented in accordance with Finnish consumer protection law and applicable EU law. To the extent any provision conflicts with mandatory consumer rights, those rights will prevail.
